McGoff, Mark (Unaffiliated) Running for Arvada City Council
"As a newly elected member of the Arvada City Council, I plan to emphasize the benefits of sustainability - and there's no better time than right now to send a message to the community." - Mark McGoff
So what is Sustainability? Sustainability is the idealogy of those in power who think we the people are out of control and need to be reined in by the government.
Taken from one of many Sustainability websites (just google the word to learn more):
Definitions of Sustainability:
There may be as many definitions of sustainability and sustainable development as there are groups trying to define it. All the definitions have to do with:
- Living within the limits
- Understanding the interconnections among economy, society, and environment
- Equitable distribution of resources and opportunities
Problems with Sustainability:
- The government sets the limits for its citizens and not the other way around.
- The order of priority is environment first, society and economy are a distant second and third.
- The government decides what is equitable, who sacrifices and who receives. It has been proven countless times that when there is "equitable distribution" of anything, the opportunities dry up.
